Privacy Policy

Qalaa Classes ("we", "us") operates the Qalaa Classes platform — hyperlocal after-school activities run inside residential apartment communities across India.

1. Information we collect

• Account info: name, mobile number, email, apartment, flat number.
• Child info: name, age, school, activity preferences. Collected only to roster classes and report progress.
• Payment info: handled end-to-end by Razorpay. We store the transaction ID + amount only — never your card or UPI credentials.
• Class activity: attendance, ratings you submit, instructor feedback, photos that instructors upload during class.

2. How we use it

• To run the classes you've enrolled in (rostering, schedule changes, attendance, payouts).
• To send tax invoices, class reminders, and (if you've opted in) marketing emails about new activities at your community.
• For internal analytics — aggregate community-level metrics only, never individual-child profiles to third parties.

3. Sharing

We share strictly the minimum required:

• With your child's instructor: the child's name, age, attendance, and ratings.
• With Razorpay: amount + your masked contact info, for the payment transaction only.
• With Resend / MSG91: your email / mobile + the email or SMS body, for delivery only.
• We do not sell your data to advertisers or list brokers.

4. Your controls

• Toggle marketing emails any time from My Profile → Marketing preferences.
• Email support@qalaaclasses.in to delete your account + all child profiles. We respond within 7 business days.
• Tax invoices and payment records are retained for 7 years per Indian GST law.

5. Children's privacy

Qalaa Classes is operated by parents on behalf of their children. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children under 13.

6. Security

• HTTPS everywhere.
• Mobile OTP auth — no passwords stored.
• Payments via Razorpay (PCI-DSS Level 1 certified).
• Database backups encrypted at rest.

7. Updates

We may update this policy as we add features. The "Effective date" at top will change. Major changes are emailed to all parents.
